It’s never good waking up to find you've got no heating, or trying to run a bath with no hot water so that's why whenever you've got a problem with your boiler, our friendly and professional team of engineers are on call to help you free of charge with minimum disruption to your life.
Top 5 most common problems with your boiler
Your boiler has a number of complex components to ensure heating and hot water is provided at the flick of a switch meaning when something goes wrong, it could be one of many explanations.
1. I’ve got no heating or hot water
This sounds like a pressure issue. Basically, there’s not enough water in the heating system to let the boiler heat the water. This could be a simple leak or a component within the boiler that’s stopped working. Just give us a ring and we can diagnose the root problem and get you back up and running.
2. I've got hot waiter, but no heating
Often in the summer months when you don't use your heating, the diverter valve becomes redundant so come the winter months often fail as you start needing both heating and hot water again. Rest assured we are gas safe approved and any repair we do to your boiler is to manufacturer standard.
3. I’ve got heating, but I can’t seem to increase the temperature
This is more than likely an issue with your thermostat. Sadly, they're not built to last forever so if your heating thermostat has broken, you might want to consider replacing it with a smart thermostat like Hive or Nest.
4. My boiler is making a strange rumbling sound
A build up of limescale can restrict water flow causing it to boil the water, meaning your boiler can often sound like a kettle. All of our boilers come with a chemical flush included to help prevent build up over time.
5. Not all my radiators are heating up
A build up of sludge or air in the heating system can often prevent your radiators heating up. If you're only getting heat in the bottom of your radiator, it more than likely needs bleeding. Only attempt this if you feel confident, if not give us a ring ad we will be happy to help.
